Serving the World through Chiropractic – India Mission Trip updates

Top Chiropractic India Mission Trip Updates

In our offices we have been able to help many people across the UK and Europe through providing them with high quality Chiropractic care. We are fortunate in this part of the world that so many people have the opportunity to access our services. However, there are millions of people across the world who do not have access to Chiropractic care and may never even have heard of it. As a commitment to serving humankind through Chiropractic care the Top Chiro team, which now spans multiple countries in the Western world, have decided to commit to serving those in less fortunate parts of the world who haven’t yet got access to high quality Chiropractic care.

We have made contact with a community run hospital in North-west India who invited us to come and provide our services to the people there. Our Top Chiro Chiropractors in the UK and across Europe have agreed to volunteer their time and skills to be able to fulfil this mission. The plan is to visit this location 3-4 times per year on a voluntary basis to give as many people access to high quality Chiropractic care as possible.

Dr Christian and Vee from our UK team organised the first trip and paved the way to making this a long term and sustainable project. In November 2023 armed with a bench, a laptop, and thermographic scanner they set off to the hospital in India not knowing exactly what they’d find.

They were based in a small hospital on Mount Abu in Rajasthan, and were welcomed and hosted by the doctors and staff who run the facility. The community running the hospital were very appreciative of the visit and were gracious hosts, providing Dr Christian and Vee with everything they would need for the week. They were allocated an office in the physiotherapy department where they could assess patients and perform the Adjustments. They were also given access to the radiology department for any patients who required x-rays.

During the course of the week they were able to see around 400 patients and give them there first experience of Chiropractic care. Many of the patients did not know what to expect as they had never heard of Chiropractic before; all they had heard was that the “doctor from England” was there offering his services for anyone wishing to be seen. Needless to say the trip was a success and we were invited to return at any time that we could.

In May 2024 Dr Elliott and Vee embarked on the second Top Chiropractic Mission Trip to India. They worked in the same facility but now with the addition of the intense summer heat, each day averaging over 34°C. During the course of the week they saw patients from all walks of life, in total they were once again able to serve over 400 people, many of whom had returned following the success of the first trip.

They saw patients of all ages from young children to the elderly, all of whom were grateful for the service. Patients came with a diverse range of problems, from neck ache, back ache, sciatica, to those who had trigeminal neuralgia, dizziness and vertigo, and even people who had suffered strokes and were struggling with recovery. Even in the short time they were there we saw life changing results with some of the people, and they would frequently ask when we will return.

We are now planning the next trips and hope to take more Chiropractors in order to serve more people. We plan to document the trips through blogs like this and in our newsletter emails.
